Maralyn Thomas
Partner
Maralyn is Partner with Browne Jacobson, having joined the firm
in 2008. She is based in the Nottingham office and leads the firm’s
pensions team.
Maralyn has 20 years experience in all aspects of pensions and
in particular, large defined benefit schemes. Much of her time is
spent on advising employers and trustees on their duties and
responsibilities under the law and on how their powers and
discretions should be exercised.
Her work also includes dealing with The Pensions Regulator,
advice on new legislation, on scheme mergers and restructurings and
on corporate transactions. Her clients include employers, trustees,
insolvency practitioners and other pensions professionals.
Maralyn is consulting editor of Tolley’s Pensions Law, a former
Ombudsman and a director of New Walk Trustees Limited.
Aside work, Maralyn spends her time reading, enjoys good
restaurants and loves travelling.
