Sharon Jones
Partner
Sharon is a partner in the firm's Nottingham office,
specialising in commercial contracts and competition law.
She started off her legal career as a barrister qualifying in
1981 and later qualifying in 1999 as a solicitor. She also has
extensive experience as an in-house lawyer, having previously
worked at British Gas. She has gained experience in the health,
local authority and retail sectors, amongst others, working on
joint ventures, commercial agreements, projects, privatisations and
competition law. This has proved invaluable in her current role
developing further the firm's specialist commercial practice.
Away from work, Sharon occupies some of her spare time with
sorting lego and enjoying good food, wine and malt whisky. She is
also very interested in architecture and architectural
conservation; had she not chosen the legal profession she might
well have ended up pursuing a career in this area.
